How to check Challan online

  2. Navigate to the E-Challan portal:
    • Enter the URL of the E-Challan website in the address bar. A commonly used central portal is echallan.parivahan.gov.in. Make sure to access the official website to avoid potential scams.

Step 2: Locate the Challan Status Section

  1. Find the status check option:
    • On the homepage, look for the option labeled “Check Challan Status” or “View Challan Details.” This option may be prominently displayed in the main menu or as a quick link.
  2. Click on the relevant link:
    • Select this option to proceed to the next step, where you will enter the necessary information to retrieve your Challan details.

Step 3: Enter Required Information

  1. Provide your vehicle details:
    • Challan Number:
      • If you have received an E-Challan notice, enter your Challan number.
    • Vehicle Number:
      • If you don’t have the Challan number, you can also search by entering your vehicle registration number (license plate number).
  2. Select the state:
    • Some portals may require you to select the state where the Challan was issued. Ensure you select the correct state to retrieve accurate information.

Step 4: Verify the Information

Step 6: Save or Print the Information

  1. Download or print the details:
    • If you need a copy for your records, you can typically download the details as a PDF or print them directly from the webpage.
  2. Note down the important information:
    • Keep a record of the Challan details for future reference, especially if you plan to make a payment later.
