Driving licence apply online RTO
Applying for a driving license online through the RTO can save you time and trips to the office. Follow these steps for a quick, efficient process.
Step 1: Visit the Parivahan Sewa Portal
Open the Parivahan Sewa website at Parivahan Sewa and select your state to access state-specific services.
Step 2: Choose License Type
Under “Online Services,” select “Driving License Related Services” and choose between Learner’s License or Permanent Driving License.
Step 3: Complete the Application
Click on “Apply Online” and select “New Driving License.” Fill in personal details like your name, address, and contact information, then upload required documents, including proof of address, age, a passport-sized photo, and a signature sample. Specify the vehicle class for your license, such as motorcycle or car.
Step 4: Schedule and Pay for the Test
Book a date and time for your driving test at the RTO, and complete the payment through the portal, keeping the receipt for your records.
Step 5: Take the Driving Test
If applying for a learner’s license, attend a theory test covering road rules and signs. For a permanent license, after holding a learner’s license for at least 30 days, take the practical driving test at the RTO, bringing your learner’s license and ID.
Step 6: Check Application Status
Track your application status on Parivahan Sewa by entering your application number under “Application Status.” Once approved, your license will be mailed to your registered address, and you can also download a digital copy via DigiLocker.
